Last Call for 2026 Strategic Planning Retreats [A Two on Tuesdays Special Announcement]

Happy Tuesday, Reader!

Instead of sharing my usual Two on Tuesdays resources, I’d like to take this time to discuss planning and how we spend our time as leaders.

We have 4 spots open for our 2027 Strategic Planning Retreats, happening in late October and early November, and we're closing bookings on September 30. If you’ve been thinking about it, now’s the time to grab your spot.

In these strategy sessions, we work with business founders and their teams to develop their plans for the year. And not just their marketing plans: their overarching business goals and the systems they need to achieve them.

Why does this announcement deserve its own email?

The #1 reason business leaders give for missing out on their big visions is that they have no time.

American work culture teaches us that our productivity is tied to our value, as business leaders and as people. We’re taught that, to be worthy, we must prove to others that we’re doers. And doers have full schedules. We feel guilty when we slow down or stop, so we keep piling on the “shoulds” and “have tos.”

This is when we fall into what I call the “superhero snag.”

We’ve convinced ourselves that if we just push harder and handle it all ourselves, we can swoop in and save the day. It feels powerful in the moment, but it’s also exhausting and lonely.

But what if we stopped believing that being busy makes us valuable? What if, instead, we stated the truth about our schedules:

I’m afraid of missing an opportunity for my business, so I say yes to things I’m not excited about.

I don’t know how to get my big vision across to my team, so I don’t delegate like I should.

I feel inadequate as a leader, and if I stop for even a minute, I feel like it will all come crashing down.

Whatever truth you own about why you use the “too busy” excuse, there is no superhero-like feeling when you say it out loud.

Stepping back is the antidote to feeling like we have to do it all alone.

The superhero snag shows up loudest when times feel uncertain. When things get shaky, it’s easy to grip tighter and push harder, to try to hold it all together yourself.

What actually helps is taking the time to step back, see the big picture, and get your team aligned around one shared vision. Isn’t that what they’re there for?

During our Strategic Planning Retreats, we learn how to turn in our superhero capes for real superpowers.

When you’re driven by a strategy and a bigger vision, the conversation changes. We see our time excuses for what they are and replace them with systems to create space for and support our big work in the world.

As we all know (no offense to Superman fans), the most badass superheroes don’t wear capes. They let their powers speak for themselves.

What are you doing right now to turn your vision into a reality?

It’s time to press pause on the day-to-day busyness of running your company and face what’s next with strategic intention.

Book your free info call, and let’s see if a strategic planning retreat is the right fit for you and your team. Remember, booking closes on September 30, and this is our last strategy retreat opportunity until Spring 2027.
