Happy Tuesday, Reader! Last week, a client wrapping up her engagement with us said something I haven’t stopped thinking about. She told me she'd be so grateful if there were a way to keep getting the predictions, the direction, and the updates on what other women founders are doing — even after our work together ends. It was the fifth time in a few weeks someone had asked me some version of that question. So here are two reasons I'm finally doing something about it. 1. Because you asked.Colleagues, marketing mentees, and clients have been asking for the return of my no-BS "the way I see it”, unpolished hot takes. The stuff where I actually tell you what I'm seeing, even when it's not comfortable. I used to put out these predictions, training, talks, and articles pretty regularly before I went mostly dark at the end of 2022 (when I realized that the social web was making me pretty darn anti-social). These emails you get from me each week are curated, planned at least a month out, and carefully tied to what Realign Consulting is building toward. The Substack is different. It's real-time, opinionated, and responsive: current events, your questions, personal leadership, habits, and the nerdier tangents that don't fit into two tips a Tuesday (like why I got a Personal Training Certification this year). So, starting Friday, July 31st, you'll get weekly videos, written notes, and interviews, every Friday, on Substack. And, there’s a larger reason I’ve decided to be more visible. 2. Because The 6% Project needs a community, not just an audience.Quick recap, in case you've missed it: The $250K Club is our mentorship community for women founders working toward that $250K revenue mark in a sustainable, impact-focused way. The 6% Project is the next step: a research study launching this fall to find the repeatable patterns among women founders who've sustained revenue past that threshold for three years running. As we move into this next phase, I need more than people reading along. I need a real community, gathered in one place, paying attention together. But, I'm not doing that in the open, alley-cat-defiled sandbox of the big social platforms. I'm doing what I tell my own clients to do: calling in the community. Let’s come together somewhere smaller and quieter, where we can connect without having to suffer bots or bros. That place is Substack. There are four ways to subscribe. I invite you to join us however it makes the most sense for where you are right now. Check it out:
See you there, Renia C. P.S. - We're still gathering participants for The 6% Project. If someone in your world comes to mind (whether they've crossed that $250K mark or are still working toward it), please send them our way. |
Renia (pronounced R-EE-n-a) Carsillo hates business silos and marketing hacks. So, she spends her days working with mid-size and small companies to integrate their business strategy with their impact strategy, design sustainable marketing frameworks, and find a growth cadence that works for their team and their lives. Renia believes founders are uniquely positioned to create a kinder, more equitable world. She is passionate about bringing C-level strategic support to the small and mid-size companies shaping their communities every day. Renia says, "Sustainable marketing is built on a solid business strategy. A solid business strategy is built on values-driven habits. Values-driven habits are built on healed/healing leaders. We can’t do these things separately. They’re all interconnected. ”

Happy Tuesday, Reader! Stay with me on this one — we’re about to talk 800-year-old stained glass. I promise it has everything to do with your business. Some of the most famous medieval stained glass in the world can be found in Chartres Cathedral in Paris. Most of the windows were constructed over the course of 40 years and from the same type of glass, which means they have eroded in rarely-seen symmetry over time. Plus, there are famous shades of cobalt blue in those windows that do not...
