\nCompleting these tasks helps me to physically and mentally disengage from work for the weekend, rest, and be more present for my family.
\n
\n
\nAt the beginning of my week, which for me is Sunday evening, I meet with my partner, and we go through the GTD process together:
\n
\n1. Capture Everything: Ensure all tasks, ideas, and commitments are captured in your system.
2. Clarify: Process what you've captured. Decide if it's actionable. If it's a task you can do in less than 2 minutes, do it. Otherwise, delegate it or defer it.
3. Organize: Prioritize tasks, set reminders, and categorize them appropriately.
4. Reflect: Review your lists. Update, modify, and ensure everything aligns with your goals.
5. Engage: Work on your tasks based on your priorities.
\n
\nWe can’t control everything, and life still happens. Even then, I find I’m better able to pivot and adjust in the moment when I’ve taken the time at the beginning of the week to set things in order.
\n
\nWhat habits can you put in place to bring greater clarity and focus to your week?
\n
\nUntil next time,
Renia C.

Happy Tuesday, Reader! Does your week ever feel like it’s slipping through your fingers? Or do you find yourself staring at the week ahead, wondering how you'll manage to get everything done? No matter how hard you try, you just can’t find the time to tackle those tasks that require your full attention. Years ago, I was introduced to the Getting Things Done methodology. I’ve since adapted the GTD Weekly Review to develop two weekly habits that help me tame the chaos and be more intentional with my energy. Weekly Habit #1 helps me wrap up the week and put work aside for a bit. At the end of my week, usually Friday, I schedule time to clear the decks, set up for a new week, and review my long-term plans and goals. This includes things like…

Renia (pronounced R-EE-n-a) Carsillo hates business silos and marketing hacks. So, she spends her days working with mid-size and small companies to integrate their business strategy with their impact strategy, design sustainable marketing frameworks, and find a growth cadence that works for their team and their lives. Renia believes founders are uniquely positioned to create a kinder, more equitable world. She is passionate about bringing C-level strategic support to the small and mid-size companies shaping their communities every day. Renia says, "Sustainable marketing is built on a solid business strategy. A solid business strategy is built on values-driven habits. Values-driven habits are built on healed/healing leaders. We can’t do these things separately. They’re all interconnected. ”
